Built inside a distribution business
Not designed from a whiteboard. Zuuvy grew out of running the counter, the warehouse and a set of field salesmen for a real distributor, and every part of it exists because something went wrong first.
Why it exists
Distribution software tends to come in two shapes. There are large ERPs, which can do everything and take weeks to teach to somebody who will leave in eight months. And there are notebooks, WhatsApp groups and a spreadsheet, which everybody understands and which quietly disagree with each other.
Zuuvy is an attempt at the third thing: a system that keeps the whole business straight, and that a new salesman can use on his first morning without being taught. The quickest way to judge that is the till — open it and ring up a sale.
What we actually run
Today Zuuvy runs a mobile phone and accessories distributor — the counter, the warehouse, the field salesmen and their trade customers, on one system. That is one customer, and we would rather say so than imply a roster.
The platform is multi-tenant, so the second business is a configuration rather than a second deployment. What that means in practice, and how businesses are kept apart, is on the security page.
How we work
- Nothing ships that invents a number. A shift left running overnight is flagged, not given a plausible finish time somebody would have to defend in a payroll report.
- The apps are for people who are busy. A salesman standing in a shop has about four seconds. Screens are built for that, not for a demo.
- We say what is not built yet. On the site, on a call, and on the industries page, where exactly one trade is flagged as live and the rest are described as a fit rather than as a customer.
Where we are
Zuuvy is operated from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Rishav answers everything — sales, support, security reports and privacy requests all reach the same inbox, which is an advantage of being small and will be said differently when it stops being true.
